First going into this field trip, I had an idea that everything there would be very interactive and all the things there would be very fun. And to tell the truth, some of the things they had their were very boring and not interesting to me. Because of this, it made the experiences that I had even better. Some of the experiences I had here were very cool and made me even more curious about options of what to do in the future. The people working there were very friendly
One of the cool things that I saw at the IMTS event was a robot that was automated to carry things. it had a software built in that tells the robot when there are people near it. It knows this because the robot has a sensor bar built in to detect peoples feet and other moving objects. The software was connected to a ipad which had an app on it that kept track of the people around its position and also let people know where the robot is. It was made to carry about 200 pounds in its container. The problem that this solves is that for companies that need to deliver parts from one place to another, they can have more people working and just have the robots deliver parts.
This product is a drilling tool made of solid carbide. A lot of people have assumptions of this tool thinking it is very expensive but in reality it is a reasonable price for its product. The good side of this product is that it can remove metal from a surface very fast and with lots of proficiency. This product is very temperature resistant when it is drilling. A problem with lots of drilling tools is that they heat up very fast because of the high amount of friction created. Last, this product is very customizable so you can change it to your needs.
